In the 1960’s, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology developed the concept of hacking. The term originally referred to students that slacked off in class or who hardly bothered to attend. Of course the original term for “hacking” had absolutely nothing to do with computer technology. However, “hacking” is a borrowed word from the hackers who explored buildings, and roofs, and things they had no business delving into. Hence, the computer hacker, whose world evolves around computers, brings me to the subject of penetration testing and how to make it work.
